Columbia Bike Path
“Jim’s Pass”
The Town of Columbia’s new bike path, Jim’s Pass, named for James Graves Sherman Sr., the Town of Columbia Mayor, 1964-2005 is a great way to explore Columbia. Our bike path will take you along the banks of the Ouachita River, throughout downtown Columbia and also through our historic Columbia Hill Cemetery.
Rhianna Richey, a junior on the Caldwell High School Welding Team, created a bike rack for downtown Columbia. Mayor Hannah Springer presented Richey with a certificate and official town pin. Richey is pictured also with the new rack that will hold bicycles to be used on the new Columbia Hiking and Biking Trail. Special thanks to her welding instructor, Bubba Tucker, who helped with the design and instruction. We are so proud of her talent and willingness to serve!
